More sad news with the notification of Niall's passing from cancer this week.
Aged 77 and originally from Richmond, Surrey, he joined BOAC in 1971 and flew for 36 years (all longhaul), rising to the dizzy heights of 'Career Purser'.
His retirement saw him living, variously, in Somerset and with his son in Maidenhead before cancer caught up with him and, with it, many hospital visits, before a final move to a hospice.
Niall leaves a son, a step-daughter, step-grandson, grandson and many, many good friends.
He will be missed.
