'CYN' HOPKINS ...
Dennis Marsh has communicated the following from Sue Drayton today:-
Cyn Hopkins A sad message from Sue Drayton with the news of the sad passing earlier today of Cynthia Hopkins in Frimley Park Hospital.
"Her daughter Stephanie was with her and it was peaceful. Cyn had such optimism and determination in the early days of being diagnosed with acute myeloid leukaemia, received a successful bone marrow transplant and successfully managing a teary-eyed family holiday to Disney with her young family.
I could only assume she would recover slowly, but she deteriorated the latter part of last year and went into care homes according to her needs. I was hoping to visit her on my return from Cuba this weekend, but it’s not to be.
I shall, as will many others, treasure so many memories from our flying days. Too early for any information re: funeral date but will let you know as soon as I hear from her family. From a teary-eyed Sue X "
