CUT-BACKS CONTINUE...
The following is part of a 'Colleague Communicqtion' put ot to staff last Sunday:-
'... Our focus is on keeping crucial air links open: bringing home the thousands of customers currently abroad, transporting vital goods, and ensuring people who are permitted to travel in and out of the UK for work, education and other reasons stipulated by the UK Government, can continue to do so. This means far fewer flights than we hoped for in November and means grounding more of our aircraft, pausing all flights from Gatwick until early December and moving many more colleagues, from both operational and support function areas, onto the Government’s extended Job Retention Scheme. We are continuing to top up JRS so that eligible colleagues are paid 80% of their base pay, without a cap.
Please remember there is furlough and wellbeing advice on One. The latest travel restrictions are another setback in our slow recovery, but we will recover. Until then, let’s continue to support each other to stay safe and secure, always.
Kind regards
