CSD Frank ‘Cyril’ Cann of Cefn Hengoed, Caerphilly has sadly departed on his final flight. Frank left on Friday 14th October 2022, aged 76 years. Frank AKA: Dad, Papa Cann, Concorde, Cann Senior, Bargoed Mafia, Cyril… disembarked, passed through immigration, picked up his bag and arrived safely at his final destination. A much loved father and friend, Frank will be greatly missed by all those who were lucky enough to fly with him. Frank ‘Cyril’ Cann joined British Airways (BOAC) in 1968 and was based at LHR. He flew longhaul in G-fleet for 38 years. He saw the arrival and retirement of the Boeing 747 on board which he spent most of his flying career.
